“Am I really called to this work?”
If you are reading this website and reach this page, then you are pursuing wisdom on how God intends to use your life.
The question of calling is important, but the first two questions you should answer are:
When you can answer these questions with a yes, then it is much easier to hear His voice. You have the readiness to obey His final command, “Go, and make disciples of all nations…”
Matthew 28:19.
Our enemy encourages people to ignore this command and demand extra-biblical revelation before taking action.
As you learn about nations that have no disciples who are attempting to replicate themselves among Muslims by the millions, are you disturbed? The One you treasure is continually being dishonored and ignored!
If this does not bother you, then you may want to start asking, “Why not?” But if over a billion people currently separated from life-giving truth keeps you awake at night, then consider yourself called. You will want to leave your home with the humility that the Apostle Paul learned as he said,
“I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back. “ Philippians 3:13, The Message.
In other words, the direction you are going is more important than where you are at the moment.
If you are bothered by Muslims living their whole lives enslaved to laws that will not save them; if you long to set people free through the power of Jesus’ name; if you’re willing to lay down your life to make sure Jesus’ message is heard and understood, then we should talk.
