Yet when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, for I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! 1 Corinthians 9:16
Some Christians don’t belong in church every week. Not that they don’t love Jesus and His people. They carry a burden that God has laid on them for people and places beyond the current reach of a Christian community.
God actually gifts some people to go where there is no community of Christ and establish ones that will reproduce. These “apostles” are curiosities to many Christians, but their burden is real and it comes out in what they do, say, and think about.
Frontiers’ specialty is helping these apostles fulfill their God-given calling to go first and establish a living witness to Jesus where it does not yet exist. We are wired for those who don’t want to be told what to do. They have an instinct. They are humble and eager for coaching, but they want to carry the ball. They are players, not spectators.
If you want to go first to tell people who have not heard of Jesus Christ, then you may not be interested in joining an organization and living under a set of rules. Instead, we want to join you and serve you and your future team using guidelines that you create. Frontiers is all about equipping leaders to serve their teams and fulfill their calling.
Though our primary focus is on unengaged Muslim peoples, we are painfully aware that most Muslim ethnic groups that have been engaged are still in need of more workers. Some people are gifted and built for developing something that has already been started. If that’s you, we have lots of opportunities for you.
You could be a great encouragement to a team by adding your gifts and abilities to the mix.
There is also the option of joining an existing work for training and equipping so that you can move to an unengaged area within two years.
If God has given you the vision and humility required to begin sharing His Word in new places, let’s talk. Maybe we can help you, too. Fill out The Journey to begin the conversation.
