This gracious partner was viewing the dollar’s falling value overseas with a focus on the Kingdom.
The severity of the impact on overseas workers was the focus of an article published in the January 2008 issue of Christianity Today, entitled “The dollar’s fall has squeezed budgets with no reprieve in sight.”

“The cost of vegetable oil has doubled. Meat, flour and milk have all increased in price. Rent prices are also going up everywhere here.” In her country of service, the price of a loaf of bread increased 62% in just 18 months!
